Beware of the red flags when you cross border to enter U.S
Always have a valid passport or a passport equivalent identification.
If a passport is likely to expire during the six-month visitor visa status can be grounds for a refusal to enter the United States.
Travelling with U.S immigration documents such as completed green card or visa application ready for filing once you cross the border.
Entering the country as a visitor and possess documents that suggest that you will be conducting business in the U.S.
If you own a property in the U.S and carry information that indicates that you are working on the rental property, fixing it or collecting rent. This may indicate that you are working in the U.S without a work permit.
Traveling in a car that is not registered in your name.
Traveling in a vehicle that is registered to you in a country where you do not reside or have a legal immigrant status.
Travelling with a spouse or other companion who has a different immigration status than you do in the country you are trying to entre.
Traveling to the U.S after just marrying a U.S citizen in Canada or entering to U.S with definite plans to get married to a U.S citizen or resident while vising the U.S
Don’t try crossing border under influence of drugs or alcohol.
Having a common name can confuse your identity with many others who have the similar name and who are on a terrorist watch list. Always have your complete name spelled out in passport.
Having different names on your passport and your ticket.
Always have a return ticket. One way travelling ticket can cause trouble.
A travel ticket bought just before travelling can be a cause for denial of entry.
Traveling with someone who has one or more of the above mentioned red glags.
